They didn't tie up some loose ends grrr...like who really was the kid pretending to be Mitchell? What really happened to Mitchell? Idk I was waiting for those answers but in old Lifetime fashion, the movie ends with out resolving part of the plot

I was really annoyed with the ending too, somewhat cruel to the audience not to open that letter. Maybe it was about this: it didn't really matter anymore if he was their son or not - he had changed so much in all the years gone by that he was a stranger to them bloodrelated or not - and the mother was finally able to let go and move on. Still I had preferred some clarity.
