im sorry but Miley Cyrus is a no talent narcissistic exhibitionist (and a low life) and doesnt deserve to be in the same room as Woody Allen let alone share the screen. Im guessing the studio put pressure on him to cast her. i seriously doubt it was his decision

He's 100% right. I get why Miley Cyrus' public persona would grate on some people, and even why that would prevent them from enjoying her work. But she's got fantastic screen presence and is a natural performer. People were spouting this same nonsense when Allen cast Scarlett Johansson back in the day, and now she's pretty widely regarded as one of the better and more interesting working actresses of her generation.
shareI've never watched Hannah Montana, but I definitely saw her on SNL- not because I remember her performance, but, because I've never missed an episode. The fact that she's blending into all the other celebrity hosts who've dialed it in over the years doesn't say much for her comedic talent- to me at least.
SNL has seen better times, but, occasionally it produces memorable comedy. Justin Timberlake, for instance, has been phenomenal. If Woody had seen Timberlake on SNL and said "Hey, I HAVE to work with that guy," I would have completely understood it. Miley Cyrus... not so much.
I'm still going to watch this, because Woody doing television is a once in a lifetime event, but, like many here, I'm going into this with a lot of skepticism regarding Miley.
And, I think it's also worth mentioning the fact that, from day one, Woody can't stop lamenting on how miserable this experience has been for him. Sure, that's kind of his typical schtick, but it's difficult not to see some potential link between Woody's misery and working with Miley. It could be a host of factors, but, out of all the possibilities, buyer's remorse seems pretty high on the list.
That's my two cents.
His next film actually does star Justin Timberlake, which is kind of interesting...he's been watching a lot of SNL, it seems :D

For the record, I'm not sure Justin Timberlake has what it takes to be a great actor- just that if someone like Woody were watching SNL, I think they'd be tempted to give Justin a role years before Miley.
I think he can be solid under a right direction, which Woody certainly is. Even if he fails, we still have Kate Winslet starring to make up for it.

I don't think so. Woody Allen wouldn't have to fold to any pressure. He likes trying to surprise people with hiring surprises and has been doing that since around 1996 actually. Granted this is a new low but still.
