Anyone watching this?

1st episode was ok.

The male lead looks at least ten years too old for the role. I thought it was set in a young offenders' institution.

I like this show, but I'm not from the UK and don't watch many UK comedy shows. I would expect a show like this on Comedy Central or FX. The comedy is more funny from an US point a view (I'm not American, just an observation).

Yeah, I'm American by birth but not a typical American and I watch British shows with more interest than US programs, but if this isn't as funny as The Young Ones then my meter is off. This show to me is funny because everything that can go wrong in a correctional institute does go wrong. Everything I fear by going there happens to Luke. It makes me cringe because it's not just about "the bin" but it is about life sucking for the precise person who doesn't deserve it. It's hard to like the sniveling whiner but he doesn't deserve anything that is happening to him and I end up rooting for him and always am disappointed when it ends badly. It's like nothing I've ever seen and that's why I like it. I think it's deceptively well written because it isn't written well. Wordplay and slang are more important than proper understandable dialog. It's funny in the painful sort of way and I don't want to watch his whole life go down the tube, but it probably will and I'll keep watching like a hypnotized commuter wondering how that car landed in that tree.

oh god, this last episode was killing it :D

I watched it at the same time as you all(if I may include you as a typical British viewer), but didn't think to comment then. I have an opinion in a different part of the thread if you want my opinion of the show. It's hard to know if this show will continue because the series/seasons are typically this length without regard to its popularity there in the UK. This makes it hard to compare my opinion to anything.
