I'd like to see your post, cause if you think this movie is about her abilities at chess, you would be sadly mistaken. It is about a slum girl who, against all odds, uses chess to get her family out of the slums, without any governmental assistance and through faith. If anything, it is a story that conservatives should embrace.
And btw, she wasn't mediocre, she became an internationally recognized Master chess champion.

Normally a Woman's Candidate Master (WCM) is required to have at least a 2000 rating to qualify. Phiona's rating was well below that, but FIDE bent the rules based on her performance in the 2012 Chess Olympiad. It doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the movie though, it was great.

Let's not forget a great majority of movies featuring white heroins are exaggerated to cleverly program people into thinking whites are these superior beings capable of doing no wrong. *****Coughs, clears throat*****....American Sniper, Geronimo An American Legend, Dances with Wolves to name a few. But as soon as this same formula is extended to Black Americans or any other minority it becomes a major problem.
Why? Because it removes whites from a position in which they feel only they should have. It taps into an inferiority complex and showcases the deep fear of losing power in which they thirst for. It serves to remind them that we are no longer in the 19th century where minorities received no recognition and were robbed of any chance of success because it would have been a cardinal sin for a minority to outshine a white person.

I'd like to know how Dances with Wolves is an example of "whites are these superior beings capable of doing no wrong." Whites were the bad guys excepting Costner's character, who essentially gave up on white society.

This movie might be an inspirational story about a girl who overcame obstacles etc, but the fact of the matter is that the actual Phiona Mutesi is an average chess player & if the same thing happened to a girl from say Moldova Hollywood certainly wouldn't make a movie about it. The reason this is pushed in our faces (to the point of even lying about her achievements) is because the girl is black and the left is desperate to promote the blacks-are-smart-too narrative.
