If you like this movie, watch 'Go Ask Alice'

This kinda seems like an updated version of "Go Ask Alice". It is an old movie from the 1970's,however I believe it is based on the 1960's.
I just saw it for the first time in the last few years and if you have kids coming of age, it will scare you to death.
Alice starts off a sweet very naive high school girl. But makes a new friend and gets hooked into the wrong group and it all goes straight to hell.
The drugs just get stronger and stronger,until she and her friend steal some drugs from these guys. Then they freak out thinking they are looking for them and runaway from home.
And their poor parents have no clue where they are and are worried sick.
They are gone for months, basically living like transients. Horrible Lives!
But if you ever wanna watch another movie similar to this one, but even digs in deeper to what chasing drugs is really like, then I highly recommend it. It kept me up at night just thinking about what sweet lives they had back home, and then the truly demeaning and humiliating behior they actvely participated in for that next fix.
Sad movie,but shows how quickly a great kid can spiral down a dark path.
