S1 Ep10 Stupid Girl

That was the creepiest fuching episode by far. The chill factor was on blast.

Is Simone now walking on the dark side? That chick is bat sh*it crazy and stupid. I would have kicked it a long time ago and got as far away from Damien as humanly possible. Seriously? What will it take for her to get it together with all the freaky sh*it she has seen and experienced?

She must have white girl blood running through her veins because a sistah girl would have been outta there ten clicks back. :)

when Damien told Simone to run away from him as far as she could, Simone said something to the effect of once her sister Kelly had left Damien THAT is when she was murdered which (i may be misreading this) seemed to say that it's actually SAFER to stay with/near Damien than it is to try and flee from him (which actually ended up being kind of true since Damien brought her back to life after being shot).

also she genuinely cares about Damien (maybe even loves him?). she wants to do whatever she can to help/save him or at the very least she wants to try to minimize anything evil/destructive that happens around/because of him.

Yes, I agree that she genuinely cares about him as well. But, come on...he is the freaking anti christ! There is no way I would be kicking it with Satan's boy.

Kelly died because she was poking around while still being completely ignorant to who Damien really was or that she was even in any danger. Damien himself didn't even know his own history. Simone on the other hand is fully aware of the facts and so is Damien. Damien has even come to accept his fate by the end of the last episode. And, because Simone was brought back to life makes me suspect that she is not the same Simone.

Simone has some sort of protection against becoming a Damien zombiebot and she can influence others. Remember the woman with the car who was ready to jump over the bridge while repeating "it's all for you Damien"? Simone managed to snap her out of it. She even told Damien that was part of why she was staying with him.

Also Kelly died when she left Damien. Maybe Simone is being very very smart by sticking close to him.

And, because Simone was brought back to life makes me suspect that she is not the same Simone.

That's possible. She now has the blood of the AntiChrist on her so that could mess with her particular religious strengths.



Did Kelly leave or did Damien let her go?

I thought he ended it. I'll have to go back and watch that episode again.

In episode 1, Damien told Kelly to leave and she left.

Damien tells Simone to go and she flat-out refuses based on 1) Kelly left and died anyway, 2) Simone herself seems immune to going crazy like the psychiatrist et al 3) there is no more normal anyway and 4) Simone seems able to mitigate some of the evil surrounding Damien.

I like this scene also because it shows Damien learning to controlling the dark cloud him around because of Simone.



I think she does love him but she also believes she can save him. When she stops the girl from jumping it empowered her and she believes that she can stop Damien from giving in. Ithink that's why she doesn't want to leave him. I don't think its because she feels safer with him. People don't feel safer with Damien since they die around him and she is no different since she did die. She wants to save him that's why she won't leave him. And in a way he responds to her. He could have easily taken care of the cop when he was coming up the steps and they were coming down but he didn't. In spite of the transformation in the grave there is a sliver of humanity that is still there and I think she's the key to him not losing all of it.

But if the show returns in might be all up in the air as far as her role since she was brought back to life with his blood. I have a weird theory on this what if its not the devil who brought her back to life. Does the devil the power to restore life I don't think so. Did you notice that when Damien got up and prayed he looked towards the heavens. Isnt that strange that he would look up when we are led to believe that hell is below and heaven is above.

Here's the interesting thing why would the devil want to usher in the return of Christ why would he want he want to help that way. What's in it for him death destruction and souls. But he can get that without the apocolypse which will bring about Jesus return

@harris...: I thought the same thing regarding Simone's life being restored.

In everything I remember being told or taught to believe that the devil only has the power to TEMPTATION to sin. Thus leading man down the wrong path for the opportunity to reap souls. Such as in the Book of Genesis when the serpent tempted Eve. Furthermore, Satan doesn't even have the power to take a life...only the power to create situations that will cause a person to die. Hence, the reason why the devil CANNOT restore life... is because the devil is not the CREATOR of life.

I think you have some good theories regarding Simone and Damien and the dynamics of their relationship.

I'm sure the series will be renewed and it will be interesting to see how things play out.

I had a similar reaction. Damien was speaking to his father who is Satan but only God can create life so?

It might have a deal between the Devil and God. Simone seems to be a spiritual and human touchstone for Damien. She might be Humanity's get-out-of-jail-for-free card.

Based on the old woman's reaction to Simone in the video in an earlier episode and in the mirror in the last episode, the evil forces around Damien needed Simone to be gone. So the Devil and his minions manipulated Shay through his fear for his son to shoot without caution at Damien.

When Damien prayed, it was acceptance of the Devil's will and Gods' will too. So the old woman and the girl could use Simone's death as a bargaining chip against Damien. As Simone has her part to play (maybe like John the Baptist), God went "deal" and everybody wins. Except Damien.



I must admit...Bradley James matured into a very attractive man. He was positively goofy looking as prince Arthur, but now....not bad at all. 😎 I keep hearing "Closer" from Nine Inch Nails when I think of Damien and Simone. How perfect is that song for them?😎

I have to admit that I thought it was strange behaviour from a Black girl,too. She washed his FEET!!!
