Poor choice of lead in Bradley, needed someone with more acting experience and a more powerful aura. This and the badly written scripts plus overly dark cinematography made it a very boring show.

The lead actor was too bland to play the Antichrist. You needed someone with a lot more charisma and gravitas to give the role life.
shareMaybe the fact that the way the character was played was the whole part of the plan for the show. You would expect the antichrist to stand out. I think they were trying to portray Damien as a normal person that ultimately comes to understand who he is. This is unlike the movies where Damien presence and personality seemed big naturally.
shareConsidering the show doesn't take the sequels into their story, I'd say Damien is played brilliantly by Bradley James and I really enjoyed his performance.
I recall at comic con Bradley James saying it came down to him and another actor who he played soccer with at a charity event.
I did some digging and the only actor he's remotely similar to in age and had been in a few TV Shows around the same time Damien came out was, Tyler Hoechlin.
They kind of look somewhat similar and both played at a charity soccer match if I recall correctly.
So that's my guess.
