Is this based on a book?
Because, honestly, from the write-up on TVLine.com (http://tvline.com/gallery/fall-new-tv-shows-preview-photos-2015/#!45/you-me-and-the-end-of-theworld/), it sounds like it would be a better read than watch.

shareNo
shareI haven't seen it yet. But the description sounds like they're updating this old series...
Woops! (1992)
"The world is destroyed when kids accidently set off a nuclear missile causing the Russians to counterattack. Only six people are left in the US; Mark, the narrator, an ex-school teacher; Alice, a feminist; Curtis, a yuppie stock broker; Jack, a homeless person; Frederick, a black pathologist; and Suzzane, a sexy dummy."

Care killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back
That's nothing at all like this show. Not even close. The fact that you came to a conclusion when, self-admittedly, you haven't even seen the show demonstrates how poor your reasoning skills are.
shareI thought the same thing, it sounded like a comedy version of "The Last Policeman" trilogy, which I loved.
shareIt's VERY loosely based on LUCIFER'S HAMMER by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle
