I just watched the last episode of the series today and refuse to believe that Jaime died while Ariel lived. Nope. Not in my imagination! If there's no second season, I'll just pretend that no one loves and they all died.
I really get too involved with the shows I watch. I have a headache now and need to lay down. ::head explodes a little bit::
So why was the little girl so persistent on keeping the artificial leg, especially since the "supposed" Jamie was now outside (to the viewers) and clearly missing a leg. Sounds like the little girl is a little bit like the Omen.
Holy crap balls. I thought it was funny that she was making him hold on to the prosthetic leg. Later on my husband was like why is he dragging himself across the ground and I'm like obviously he hurt his leg or back and can't get up.
He lost his freakin leg!! How did I not realize this?!? Now I'll be really mad if there is no 2nd season.
They definitely tricked us into thinking the narrator was Jamie instead of Ariel, but the narrations themselves hinted at something being off about Jamie since he calls the people he's stuck with in the bunker "weirdos" (or something to that effect). His mum, his pal, his daughter, his wife, etc. It's almost like it was hiding in plain sight but the viewer wasn't looking for that. We were convinced it was Jamie, and they did a great job at making us believe so! Still, all that mess about Jamie being the son of God, and having him die out there is weird and doesn't seem right, but who knows what a second season would've shown us.

Um, you do remember what happened to Jesus, right? The bit with the cross. Died for our sins. Like Jamie died to save everyone. Or he's Moses who led his people to the promised land but never entered it because he died. He also parted a sea.
And I think the narration was Ariel the whole time. "Who are these people?" is a good clue. Personally, I loved the ending. Sometimes the bad guy wins.
Kinda of but there was one narrations and the Grandmother and about whether she was their savior or had she just lured them all down their for her uses or something to that effect. Anyway, in retrospect, it was information only Ariel would have had. I kept thinking that at some point Jamie was going to meet the grandmother and learn what was going but as the series got closer to the end I just thought it was narration with no special connection. Now I think it was a hint.
I agree! I hate Ariel and was hoping he would die stuck outside but when they showed him sneaking up behind Jamie I knew it was bad news. However....he was crawling toward a manhole/sewer at the end. Maybe just maybe he can get down there in time and find another way into the bunker.
I think if there had been a second season, Jamie miraculously would have found a way inside. Looked like there was a manhole cover or something right near him.
they cant kill Jamie. that would be like the Joker killing Batman. what would you do for the next Batman movie? I dont see how they can do this series with everyone in the bunker for the next 5 seasons. So, something will have to change in the story line. like, the comet does not do as much damage as they thought it would, so, Jamie is found alive when they exit the bunker. the real question is, how did Ariel hide all of his injuries from the car crash?
If you watch it again, you'll see that Arial doesn't hide his injuries. That's how you know it's really him at the end. The gash on his forehead from the car crash. Nobody else noticed, yet, but it might be that Layla was just starting to suspect when the comet hit.
They did telegraph it way back in episode 3, when "Jamie" first called the other people in the bunker "freaks". However, at the time we still didn't know how everyone related to each other, and as far as we could tell his grandmother really was a freak.
