Now with very loud Dubstep.

Seriously, it still looks good after all these years, so why? Oh yeah stupid kids.

They had a very unique soundtrack for GitS movie (Kenji Kawai) and the series had a cool vibe and interesting feel (Yoko Kanno)... ARISE OST seemed like it was trying hard to sound like the Yoko Kanno soundtrack (Cornelius) but overall it was pretty good and kept in step with the previous soundtracks.

The first time I hard the music from the trailer I thought "This sounds very American EDM to me..." It wasn't even really dubstep (which may have felt more in place than this was, if I'm honest).

Hopefully the rest of the soundtrack fits into the rest of the soundtrack catalog since I really liked what they've done with their music so far...

I saw the movie tonight, and I don't recall any dubstep. The score is electronic, but more jazzy than anything else. It's fairly mellow. During some of the action parts there is a bit of driving sequencer melody, not unlike old Tangerine Dream.

Not very noisy at all. Are you sure you saw the same movie?
