Why did she like him?

it wasn't too clear but was she in love with him and why? and did he love her back?

unlike everyone else I really enjoyed this movie though, but the ending wasn't too clear on what they were going to do from now on

Yeah maybe the best thing for the girl would be to stay with Keanu. How long before Momoa finds out about Arlen shooting his baby mama? How long before the wilderness takes them? I guess love makes you do stupid things. Also, the falling in Love part seemed unexplained.

They were both cool bad asses - not taking crap from anyone, a so brave in the face of dangerous stuff. Most people aren't that way, so when they encountered each other, they saw themselves reflected in each other, is how I interpret it. And they both cared about the girl. But like someone else posted in this thread, isn't he going to find out she shot the mom/wife? And how are they going to survive now? He can't go to Comfort, and she isn't going to want to join the cannibals. How will they get food, water, gasoline and such?

I don't think he did love her back. He probably saw her as some hot piece of ass that wants to follow him around but there was no chemistry whatsoever to build up this alleged "romance". The things she felt for him were just normal of what a girl might feel in the company of a man like him protecting her when she needed it. I doubt he thought much of it as it wasn't like he was protecting her out of love, but that's the way her mind imagined it. She liked the idea of being romantic with him. Why on earth she chose to go that route as opposed to staying with Comfort is beyond me. The film paints Keanu Reeves as the antagonist somehow but there was nothing there that inferred he was the bad guy.

He was clearly a cult leader.
