I love him dearly but...worst ever role for him. He came off as a dirty old man with checks instead of candy. Ugh

Is that, then, not a mark of what a good actor he is, if he can successfully carry off roles other than the plucky suit-wearing good guy he normally plays in these things?

Seen that.
Not bad... but better performances elsewhere.
I thought the idea of that flick was to present an ambiguity over Cullen Davis's guilt/innocence.
