I'm Usually Not Necessarily a Fan of Kid Competition Shows

But I really enjoy this one - good diverse mix of kids and I think Duff and Valerie interact with them really well.

It just feels so much less scripted and doesn't insist on playing up personalities/ stereotypes compared to say Masterchef Junior (although to be fair I don't care for the adult version of that show for the same reasons).

Yeah, except would it kill them to find a kid somewhere not in suburban L.A., suburban D.C. or suburban Denver? How about a kid from the south side of Chicago? I'm just sayin'

(But I would agree that of all the kids' food prep competitions, this is the least obnoxious.)

Except for Cole, the Army brat who's lived all over the world and has an attitude of superiority—not to mention his ear-grating speech impediment.

Do you mean Dylin? Cole's the big red lipped one with dimples.
