The mom calls the police and says in the most unemotional and monotone voice that she thinks her daughter's being kidnapped. She may as well be ordering a ham sandwich. I know I'm a sucker for watching these movies but I never stop expecting a little more.

Another typical Lifetime movie where no-one, including the police, will listen to the woman who claims she has some evidence about the murder. They all claim she's "getting too involved". They will fire her, her husband or boyfriend will leave her, or, in this case, her mother will ground her--they will go to any lengths to avoid listening to her. Sigh. A plot device as old as the hills.
