CROWD/TRAILER REPORTS

Please post what time you went, how full was your theater, what trailers were shown and the audience reaction.

Saw it this afternoon at 4:30. Theater was about 90% full in a medium-sized auditorium, which was definitely a larger crowd than I expected.

Trailers:
The Sense of an Ending
The Salesman
The Comedian

Audience was pretty quiet, except for a few chuckles at some lines and gasps when Julieta got struck by a car near the end.

I enjoyed it a lot, although it's not one of Almodovar's best. Still a very solid film and worth seeing. 7.5/10

I saw this last night, Monday, January 23rd, 2017, at the Lincoln Plaza Cinemas 6. It was the 8 PM showing and there were 20 people there. There was a trailer for a Dutch Hurt Locker type movie about disarming land mines, and a couple other trailers I have no recollection of. It reminded me of how many movies come out, and how I can never see them all.

Oh! One trailer was about a guy who was head of a white power group, while secretly being a Jew!

The audience was quiet, and maybe depressed. I thought it was a pretty good film, 8 out of 10.

I was chatting with an employee after the movie, and I was there until about 10 PM, and no one showed up for the 10 PM screening by 10. Not sure if anyone did after.

Went at 3 pm on Sunday. Show on Saturday at the same time was sold out, which is why we were there on Sunday. Theater was small and full except for four seats in the front row. Audience was quiet, except for one guy who kept laughing at spots that weren't intended to be comic. Trailers: "The Sense of an Ending" is the only one I remember seeing; we came in and the lights were already down.

I saw this tonight for the first time. But this film has been out for a while here in L.A.

I went to a 9:15 PM showing at the Sundance Cinemas in West Hollywood. About 10 people, but I heard some people walking out. I guess they don't appreciate Pedro Almodovar's film or don't like it.
