The best Almodovar movie?

I was just so impressed by this movie. Of course, by now I've forgotten what it was like to watch Talk to Her for the first time, but I think this might be his best film.
My favorite Almodovar is Dark Habits, which is in another category. I feel like this film shines over some of his other movies because of the strong theme and suspenseful story.

What do you think? Does anybody feel the same? What is your favorite?

Dark Habits is your favorite?? Strange taste...

I enjoyed Julieta but it's not even close to his best film.

reply

Not his best BUT .... his best in awhile for sure. Loved it!

"Talk to her" is my favorite Almodovar film. Julieta is mediocre...

TALK TO HER - 8/10
JULIETA - 5/10

Volver and Talk To Her are probably my two favorites of his. This one isn't one of his best, but it's very good nonetheless.

I am pretty sure my three faves are Women On The Verge, Tie Me Up Tie Me Down, and Bad Education. This was really good, but too depressing for a revisit any time soon.

My favorite tends to be the one I watched most recently!

"Talk to Her" and "Broken Embraces" are definite standouts though.

I just watched Talk to Her for the first time yesterday, I thought it was excellent. Really great movie. I just watched this today, and it was okay.... I wouldn't say it's mediocre, almodovar is a master craftsman and the film is brilliantly made, but some things about the structure felt cheap and some parts of the story just didn't add up.
