It's good, but I expected better

The action was good, the interaction between Damian and Batman was strained but too typical of what's supposedly "in" right now, Talon was ok, but batman.....wasn't the kickazz Batman that we know; he was weak and getting his azz handed over to him too many time during the run time of the movie. in fact, I felt it was too rushed if you ask me. There really wasn't much of a real story background to the Owl Society made up of rich snooty upper class trying to control Gotham other than they were already a part of Gotham generations ago. I've seen better batman cartoons, but this displayed the proper dark themes and more violent content than years past and of what is expected not only in the comics but also in future animated and live action movies to come.

What I did like in fact, was Conroy's voice being used, but as Bruce's father in a flashback scene. The return of DIck Grayson and Nightwing, and Alfred was more hands on in this movie. Overall, I do give it a 6. Decent, but could have been better.

I think they shortchanged two different stories to make them into one. There should be a movie with Bruce/Batman vs. Damian/Robin and their opposing moralistic views but a separate movie for the Court of Owls. I don't know how well received that story line was, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an intricate, almost historical piece, and I think they did it a disservice with Batman vs. Robin. The Court of Owls could be a pretty epic two part movie.
