The animation was pretty good (it usually is) but the story and characterizations for this one left a lot to be desired. Plot points that stretched the incredulity to its breaking point including the female love interest being the leader of the secret group, Batman / Bruce Wayne leaving his blood all over the museum for the Gotham PD to find and analyze, Nightwing being impaled by several harpoons through his major muscle areas yet still able to do somersaults after some simple bandaging, and the laughable BatMech did a lot to undermine some truly inspired moments like the reinvention of the Dollmaker (bonus points for the left field casting of Weird Al Yankovic as the voice of the Dollmaker) and... that's pretty much it. DC usually knocks these out of the park, but this one was one foul ball after another. Hopefully their next effort returns them to their former glory. Bats deserved far better than this.

No, every DC animated film post-Flashpoint Paradox has been sub-par. This is just the latest in an ongoing trend.

Totally agree, but I thought Flashpoint Paradox was included in the downhill trend. Didn't like it at all. Really didn't feel like a Justice League movie.

I liked it way better than Son of Batman and I hate the Damien character.
