Worthy message, poorly delivered

The meat of the movie was just Brand hassling low level employees, similar to those featured who were also struggling. Receptionists, security and presumably frontline PR had to somehow deflect his attempts to enter important buildings or just become a sounding post for whatever point he was trying to make.

It wasn't entertaining, it wasn't making a difference. He couldn't get any kind of interview with somebody relevant? Is every emperor wearing clothes that can make them invisible?

While protests may have worked for the housing association women by giving their story prominence before the embarassing alternative it's not going to change the entire political system. Again using the movies own logic, without organisation it becomes public unrest, will incur a media blackout and return harsh punishments.

The only way anything is going to change is via elected sympathetic politicians with a clear cause and manifesto to begin implementing some of the ideas suggested. Unfortunately this is still going to require prominent personalities as it's clearly how elections are won and the only way to mobilise the disenfranchised and future generations.

Brand as usual makes it about himself. And I agree we all feel embarrassed for him.
