Axes; not like vikings,

This is a pretty cool show, it's right up my alley, some real history (allegedly) exotic culture, West versus East. I think it begins after the Fourth Crusade, when the Catholic Crusaders sacked Constantinople. The Pope in Rome wants to start another Crusade for the Holy Land in the Levant, and wants to make sure the Muslims aren't united, so the Knights Templars are bribing some Turkish clans.

I could be dead wrong about the plot, because there are way too many characters, and way too many irrelevant soap opera story lines and I can't keep straight the names of the characters and places. I normally don't like dubbed English movies, but I think I would prefer it for this show. I can deal with names like Yoda and Endor and Vadar but I'm really struggling with the Turkish here.

There's a scene at the end of Season 1 Episode 4 where the men from the hero's clan are gathered in a room and they do this wild thing with the chanting and banging drums and such and it grows in intensity and I think the purpose is to send some sort of spirit/force to protect the hero (who is somewhere far away.) I don't know if this is "Sufism" or something else, or if it's an accurate representation. I thought it was cool.
