Am I wrong?--

Didn't they say the wildlife refuge was 100 MILES away? How could a ten-year-old drive an ATV 100 miles?

reply

Well I know my 11 yr old could never do something like that, just an example, when she told me about children at her school hopping the fence to cut school, I told her, she better not do something like that,to which she replied "Mom, there are no crossing guards during school hours, how could I leave!" But I guess she obviously had plenty of experience with riding an atv and camping, plus she was determined to find Charlie. I am just curious how many miles one of those goes before running out of gas. I would think she would get lost though.

If you had,nt noticed she was a very determined little girl, lol, and I don't think she knew she was only 10,she was doing some very mature things for a 10yr old.

Oh, no, you're not in any trouble! Your mom would have been so proud of you for doing that! I praise you for your heroic efforts and will gladly pay for the all the man-power, helicopters, etc for this dumb duck. Preposterous!

I definitely found her 100 mile solo trip unbelievable, I don't care how determined she was.
