Is Season 2 almost all clip shows? It seems like every other week we get an episode made up of outtakes from previous episodes. Did Travel Channel cut their budget, leaving them with no other way to produce new episodes than to cobble them together out of stuff that wasn't interesting enough to make it into the real episodes?
shareThere's been 7 'clip shows' and 17 unique episodes to date in Season 2. It's in no way due to budget cuts, if anything it's due to the shows success. It takes a lot of time to film these episodes and rather than end Season 2 and build them up for Season 3, it seems they want to make sure there's an episode on every week no matter what because they get good ratings and they try put out a new footage episode as soon as they can. Hopefully they won't dilute the show by doing this too much and last night can be the finish of Season 2.
The next 3 weeks seem to have old episodes with the subtitle 'Extra Finds'. I don't know what this will be but I'm guessing they may re-runs with onscreen pop-ups with trivia & updates. They did the same thing with their other success Ghost Adventures.
I enjoyed the clip shows but I hope there's no more for good while. Let them do reruns till a sizable new batch of Expeditions can be launched as Season 3, that's my hope.
Bless your heart, you're not very bright are you? Oh wait you're a democrat, that explains it. They do this because people like the show and since the season is over, they do this to air another episode so it's a week less until the new season starts. I wish they would do it with more shows, it would cut down on the boredom of shows until the next season started.
