Sound of baby fawn in distress

"This is the sound of a baby fawn being killed..."

That was heartbreaking. I was bawling my eyes out when they were in the Bhutan forest playing that recording of the fawn being killed to try to attract a yeti. I shudder to think of what that poor fawn endured. Yes, I'm an animal lover and vegetarian. No flames please, I'm just really sensitive about animals and I thought that was SO sad to hear. :-(

Bawling your eyes out? It was sad but I think you're overreacting a tad bit.

reply

You sound very callous & cold.

hunters also use the sound of a rabbit being killed, for the same (well, maybe not for yetis, but for other 'huntable' predators) purpose, with, obviously, since they're hunters, no care as to the torture being endured by the animal(s) being recorded, disgusting

reply

It may not be the recording of a actual Fawn or Rabbit. We have so many bleeding hearts and animal activist out there that it's probably just a sound machine recording. We can do so much with technology now a days that actual sound is no longer a requirement. I hope that makes you feel better.

I appreciate the effort, but how would they know what to make it sound like (until hearing the rabbit one, I didn't even know rabbits made any sound!), unless, somewhere along the line, they'd witnessed, and/or recorded, the real thing?

This has nothing to do with this episode in particular. I thoroughly enjoy this show, it reminds me of why I love history so much. But it gets fairly frustrating when josh starts all of these adventures and gets you hooked and has never actually solved or shown anything for his efforts. I don't know how he continues to get funding for this but it would be nice to see some follow through with one of these stories.
Again, not harping on the show. I really do enjoy this.

Your comment also has nothing to do with what this thread is about. Not sure why you'd post your comment in a thread about the fawn being killed. SMH...

Agreed.

I'm sorry to hear about your distress over the fawn. I'll avoid the Yeti episode. I've just seen the Bermuda Triangle episode which I reckon is good.

I've just come back on here and wonder if the Bhutan Yeti episode is from another Josh Gates series? I note that there was one episode covering this in 'The Monster Hunter' series that he did earlier. Still he may have gone over the same ground in the 'Expedition Unknown' series. There are so many episodes to go through in the 2015 series.
