Only 2,600 votes?

This is an HBO show starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and it may not be a masterpiece, but it's good, it has a fine balance of being serious and funny, and Parker and Church are great in their roles, and only 2,600 people came to IMDB to vote it? That's extremely low. It should have at least 20,000 votes. It's not a bad show, it's o-k. And it deals with a very common thing in America (and not only) society, divorces.
It's really true sometimes that you can't predict if a movie or a TV show will have success or not. I'm sure HBO and the makers of this show were pretty sure that it's gonna be a hit, not as big as "Sex and the City", but a pretty good hit, but it seems that the audience just didn't care. Is it even gonna have a second season? Well, if it does, I guess it's gonna be the last one, it can't carry on for more than two. Because to be frank, even if it did have success, for how many seasons can you carry on a show about a divorce?

I really don't see a problem. The divorce proceedings themselves can take a couple of seasons, depending on how things go, plus the divorce would affect each party and the children, or even the people around the family, in numerous ways, which can be the subject of subsequent seasons.

I just hope it's done well enough that the story remains compelling.
