Ending error? (SPOILERS)

I was confused at the end, not sure if it was a goof or if it was supposed to be significant. When they are pumping Mr. Crowley, it zooms in on the machine. The pressure is beyond max but the flow is "closed". At the very end, it spends a lot of time zoomed in on the machine, but here pressure is near max and the flow is "open". I think it's just a prop error, but my friend thinks it means the ending didn't really happen, or at the very least it was significant since they zoomed in on it. What do you think?

For a second or two, I thought that the creature was being brought back, but, then, realized that that would contradict the entire movie. Maybe just a editing goof?
