It all happened so fast *spoilers*

I kind of regret letting myself get swept away with emotions. I sacrificed remembering small details to just feel the impact of the Beetle/Hanzo reveal with the origami, but between that and him getting stabbed I don't remember much.

Reading phrases from reviews like 'he sacrifices himself to save his son' is nice, but I wish I could remember it in words and actions. Can anyone fill in the blanks? I would be so grateful!

He didn't sacrifice himself. He got stabbed in the back ehile making a promise to take care of Kubo.

Kudos to Laika for killing both parents onscreen.

I thought the wording in that review was strange. Thanks for clarifying. If that's all that happened, then I don't feel bad for not remembering everything.

And yeah 'kudos' to Laika for breaking my heart.

The scene cuts away before the mother gets killed though.

the scenes always cut away when something big was about to happen. what a rip-off tbh. Apart from beetle's death, we all we got were big flashes of white light, then we got to see the consequences of the fights.
Eg when monkey kills the first evil sister, or when the mom dies in her human form, or when monkey dies, or when grandpa becomes a human.
