Why would he kill Berman?

Some suguest she was blackmailing him because she was strapped financially. But he had given her buckets of cash before. All she had to do was ask. So why would she need to blackmail?

Maybe the relationship changed once she started asking him for money. From the reports I read about him and his first wife, Kathy, he was notoriously mean and cheap. If she'd left him, she'd probably be alive today but although he was beating the *beep* out of her, she hung in there demanding some sort of financial settlement and even at one point tried to blackmail him. Maybe he felt people were only after his money, which may have been true. That seemed to appear to be the case with his second wife Debrah Lee Charatan...

Debrah Lee Charatan is so scary. She seems not only like she is just in a marriage of convenience, as a business agreeement, but also seems like she is a hustler.

Remember? She was going to be questioned by detectives about the murder. It was too much of a risk to think that she would keep silent. He wasn't going to leave it up to chance. And it would be easy to make it look like the mob did it.

I think him giving her 50,000 was enough to make her be quiet. I think it was more that he didn't want her to keep
It over his head anymore. Why should he keep giving her money. She knew too much but I doubt it was because of the one reporter.
