What was the "timeline" issue controversy?


The thing mentioned as being unethical on Jarecki's part. Could someone explain it to the layman? Was it that the "confession" from Bob was already in their possession from his first interview and they just held onto it for a big finale?

Yeah, I think that's it. Jarecki maintains that they didn't know about the hot mic confession until IIRC either after the show began airing or at least towards the very end of production. A lot of people find it amazing that he wouldn't have found out about it much much sooner.

Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hugo can track anything.

I for one don't believe anything jarecki says. He is a money hungry film maker and Durat was exploited.

I don't get it. I mean you can really see this is the last interview, not the first. And he goes straight to the mensroom. So how could he have had this "from the first interview"? The whole filming timeline seems pretty clear to me.
