Nobody here?

I saw this lovely film at the BFI Festival, here in London. Anyone else? A delight. No love interest, no sex, no violence, just a gentle little tale about how to be human. And another of those films not to watch when you're hungry!

Well said. I find myself watching more and more Asian cinema because of this fact alone. I am tired and done with Hollywood degeneracy.

reply

The sex-and-violence, or the dorayaki?
I'm not American, I don't see much Hollywood stuff anyway, but there's such a wealth of film from all over the world to see, I don't feel I'm missing anything. I watch a lot of Japanese film, partly as a language-learning aid, but also Korean, French, Australian, all sorts.

Thinking about your comment -there's nothing much more sex-and-violence than a Japanese horror movie! You don't have to watch it, though.

reply

I have not managed to see it at the festival last year, but caught up now. Sch a beautiful, touching film!

In the beginning there was nothing, and it exploded.
