Not that bad

So, the original Avengers movies get 8.2 and 8.0, but just because Avengers Grimm was made by Asylum and doesn't have many known actors, aside Casper Van Dien and Lou Ferrigno, it deserves 2.8 ?

Frankly, when I started to watch the first Avengers, I couldn't stand after 20 minutes and just fast forwarded it until the end. And guess what ? I didn't miss anything. But I watched Avengers Grimm until the very end.

What do you want from Asylum ? They make fun of other movies with extremely low budgets, and that one was entertaining.

Riiiiiiiight. The fact that you liked the movie is evidence that everyone is biased against the production company and is not at all indicative that you have *beep* taste.

He needs to eat, if the Asylum employees were more focused on delivering a quality product with an original name, they would not be wasting time trying to shutdown criticism.

You have been CRURNED!

You watched the Avengers Grimm to the very end and you didn't gain anything either. At least original Avengers have production values behind it, and some acting. AG is mainly cringeworthy. And here I thought Last Knights was a bad movie - but it was actually decent compared to this stinking piece of art.

My opinion on the Asylum is one that not's that hot. But your post bothers me for a few reasons.

You judge your movies based on production values? That's really a minority thing to do. If it wasn't, the Aslyum and other studios would be what they are.

Do you even English? What does "minority thing to do" even mean? (Not to mention the following sentence...)
What are those other reasons? Why do you make absurd assumptions on little to no information?

I said that original Avengers AT LEAST had production values. So, way to be disingenuous in your interpretation of my opinion.

Of course production values aren't the only thing I take into account - but all things being equal (...or not), they matter too.

I really like this film. Assuming that The Asylum kept to their usual formula, it was probably shot in two weeks with a budget of less than $1 million. Lower your expectations accordingly, don't expect high production values, expensive special effects and large-scale action setpieces, and in my opinion this is an entertaining and likable effort. The cast acquit themselves well, and most of the action scenes are effectively handled (the fight in the storm drain between Red and Cinderella being the highlight). I'd like to see a sequel.

Considering the par this studio is known for, this being as decent as it is, is really saying something. I mean, I think it's more the concept than anything, which is admittedly awesome, I mean imagine if a better studio, or better yet, a TV network that could make a longer, more detailed series out of this whole idea, had done something like this instead. It would be like Once Upon a Time only with more action, and more radically different takes on the characters to make them superheroes (I mean, Snow White has powers like Ice Man? How freaking cool is that?)

That said, this is an obvious improvement over their usual stuff and we can only hope this would set the standard for them from now on, like if they made everything either as decent as this, or better, and nothing below that. But please, don't make a sequel, let someone else take this concept and make a show about it so every avenue of potential can be explored. Surely one of the non-Marvel and non-DC networks can do something amazing with this. HBO? Netflix?

I think I know precisely what I mean when I say it's a shpadoinkle day!

I wont speak about my disappointments with the Avengers movies, but I did think this movie was pretty entertaining and had a cool concept.
