I think the killer is the step father. Ever since he said April was a legal adult. I think he's framing her.

...and as for the car, I think he intended to kill April before she remembered.

Yep, very predictable 30 minutes in. Him giving her that car and it having that issue was questionable but then when Sutton's husband passed out at his house and he's always lurking creepily, yeah it's him

I guessed the killer. But not the motivation.

They should've cast someone slightly younger and in better shape as the step-father. Practically anybody could subdue this guy within a couple minutes and that's exactly what happens to him in the end.

That is so weird because I suspected him as well. I am half way through the film.
