What IS this show???

After "Barbershop" and "Teddy Perkins" I feel like this show has transcended television as a whole. It's like I'm watching some sort of wonderful alien entity being born before my eyes.

I've heard about this show, and started watching Season 1 today. 2 episodes in, and I'm hooked! Great show but I don't want to binge watch this in one sitting - I want to make it last.
