Galvin and holly

If I closed my eyes I would think these two were non caucasian. Is this how everyone talks down south?

reply

I think that's how people in New Orleans talk. In some of the other episodes you can hear that the other white EMS driver has a similar speech pattern.

New Orleans residents have an accent that sound similar to New Yorkers. It's very distinct.

You need to get out of NY more, 'NYYNYG'; every region has a distinctive accent (luckily I left my NY accent behind years ago).

BOHICA America!

And what's your point? Everybody should sound like you?
Your post just flows with racism.

Your problem is that "if I closed my eyes I would think these two were non Caucasian … open your eyes & open your mind & find out these two individuals may be trying to save your life. What difference does it make as long as they're doing their best to save your >******life?

I live in NOLA, and no, I do not talk like them. I think it is an attitude of those who work the streets, to seem tough. For the poster who said real NOLA people talk like NY...that is true to some point. But just like NY, where it depends on borough, it varies. Some areas of the city sound NY (I am one of them), some sound Cajun, and then there's the 9th ward...hard to describe them LOL

I agree, she doesn't sound like that in her interviews only when she's out on the street
