I thought Black Mirror too! It's even got the guy from 15 Million Credits in it

wrong actor! That guy is Finn, the other guy is Tucker from Johnny English Reborn.

Eggers' published the book in 2013, before Black Mirror ever appeared in the U.S., but after the first two seasons had aired in the U.K. So it's unlikely either one was influenced by the other.

But since it's publication, the latest season of Black Mirror has definitely borrowed from the book ('Nosedive'), and from the trailer alone, it looks like Ponsoldt's direction might be influenced by previous episodes of Black Mirror.
