That ending.

Was umm.....really really rushed and half-baked. I mean say what you will about the rest of the presentation but that ending was atrocious. I didn't hate the program, it had a couple of interesting ideas and interpretations but it also had a lot of bad and head scratchingly dumb moments.

I was a bit unhappy with it as well.

To me the most well don't part, was the very first scene. Where it has the Satellite camera and you hear the trumpet from space and it shook a little and cut to black. That was really good and set a foreboding tone right outta the gate. But they just didn't do much. The Apocolypse seemed really kinda...tame? I guess. It was all too simplified I thought.

I felt like the last hour needed to be Jesus returning to Earth and how everyone reacts and what happens. I felt like that should have been the focal point, or at the very least make it 3 parts so you can give the most important part the time it deserves. The ebding felt ambiguous. You don't really know what happened and nothing is properly explained. I liked everything else, but because of the rush job on the end,I have to say it was all right.

The ending was a total disappointment. Instead of the actual return of Christ as the Bible says will happen, we get a hurricane, then we get that the sun is shining brighter and the world is slowly recovering???

Except that the filmmakers missed the point of the book (I've read it). The point of this version was to say that it was likely this will transpire but don't worry, you don't have to believe in God or Jesus and you should be able to get through it (even though all children are raptured and everyone over 70 will be taken out and killed). At the end of the broadcast, the reporter tells the cameraman who happens next and the cameraman says, "Do you believe it?" and the reporter says, "I don't know." His closing comments are, "People try to help each other now. Maybe it will be better this time." What a lame conclusion to the worst period in human history over the course of seven little years.

Their so-called Bible expert was an idiot, too. No expert needs to cross-check the ancient names of countries with the modern ones. Trust me, they know what they are without having to look it up. That's pretty basic.

Very poor rendering of what is written so vividly in the Bible. I can only hope it will inspire some to read the real deal.

Agreed. Haven't watched but maybe 23 minutes of Part 1 and already very annoyed. Besides the shaky camera work (dumb and dumber) the little texts in between scenes totally distort the Word of God, the Bible, and what it REALLY says about the End of Days. "God will determine who ....." etc. No. Man has free will and chooses whether to accept or reject the plan of Redemption and the work that Jesus Christ, the only begotten, not made, Son of God, did for all mankind on the Cross. Reject it. Perish. Believe and accept Him, Jesus, as your Lord and Savior. Everlasting life. They quote 1 Thessalonians 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:" and then completely leave out the next phrase in that same verse - "and the dead in Christ shall rise first:' - followed by: 4:17 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." and 4:18 "Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

I am comforted by those words for sure. When the End of Days begins, and with it, following the above Resurrection of those who are IN Christ Jesus, the 7 years of Tribulation as prophesied in part and in part and in part throughout the entire Bible....like a puzzle with all the missing pieces outside the frame and then you begin to SEE that THIS one goes there and THAT one goes here and the closer you get to the end of putting the puzzle together, the faster it all falls in to place....you begin to recognize that the true purpose of the Tribulation period is to bring God's own first-chosen people, ISRAEL, back to Himself. And the rest of us Gentiles who have not already gone to "be with the Lord" in that Rapture, that Resurrection, will still have an opportunity to ACCEPT Him, and thus, with that acceptance, shall You or I who might have been left behind when 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 has already occurred - will - see Him at the Second Coming of Christ, when He SPLITS the mountain in two, and takes His place as King of Kings and Lord of Lords....and then,,,,,,according to Phillipians 2:10-11 "...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

And if this movie, Revelation: End of Days, which I have, as I said, only watched 23 minutes of ---- misses all the above, and preaches another gospel,,,,well,,,,Jesus had something to say about that too.....Matthew 24:21-25 "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.25 Behold, I have told you before."

My advice - be very careful when watching such filmmaking on the History Channel in the first place. Watch, MAYBE. But examine with an eye and looks at Scripture for the Truth. For in the end, Jesus said, (John 14:16) "6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

And I don't care how many times Oprah chimes, "Jesus? What about Jesus?" going on to state He cannot possible be the only Way.....then I say He was either a liar of the first order - or she is - lost.
