Yikes.

"Trumpets Sound" (the first episode) is two hours of:

- Wretched writing.
- Amateurish acting.
- One nausea-inducing shakycam shot after another.
- Endless clips from years-old footage of famous earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes that everyone's seen a dozen times.

That pretty much covers it.

I agree with you completely BWiggins. I had looked forward to this -- and it was nothing but a complete mess! I gave up after an hour and will not bother with watching part 2.

An hour? You beat me :) I could barely last 10 minutes. Without the shaky cam, I probably could have lasted a bit longer.

I agree with everything bwiggins-1 said.

I was also irritated by the bizarre "interpretations" of selected verses from Revelation and other prophecies. For example, saying that the "7-headed beast" is a weird bioengineered virus (7HC) with seven "heads"... ridiculous!

My friend, who is not a Christian and has minimal familiarity with the book of Revelation, certainly got a very skewed vision of what's actually in that book, which is highly symbolic and metaphorical. She kept asking me, "Why is this being shown on History channel?"

I will watch Part 2 just to see how much more laughably absurd it will get...

That comment alone was far more entertaining than this program.

Like one of the reviews here, I was looking forward to watching this and was really disappointed. What was the budget, $100? Seriously, anyone with a "shakycam" and some video editing software could slap something like this together.

Dean: I am wearing sunglasses at night. You know who does that? No-talent douche bags!

Couldn't have said it better myself! Very disappointing.
