A must watch for gory horror fans.

I am not normally a fan of cheap and cheesy horror films like All Hallow's Eve, so I was not expecting to get much from this, as it is the same director (same clown) but I decided to give it a go since it seemed to have pretty good reviews....Awesome slasher film.
Yes, it is a little tacky and some of the acting isn't the best but the gore is superb and the killer clown makes Pennywise seem like Ronald Mcdonald.
If you're a fan of the genre, give this one a go. Trust me.

Clowns are supposed to make you happy and laugh, especially the little kiddies. This one was a mime/clown who didn't speak -- more effective.

But how did clowns come about then in the first place? Weren't they supposed to be there to entertain kids and make them laugh, or when did it all change?

Just saying clowns go back to the 19th Century I believe. Must have appealed to kids or else why would they have had them.

I finally watched it. Too gory for me. It felt like I was watching Saw. I don't really like gore. Blood is fine but I can't handle people getting sliced in half and internal body parts spilling out and stuff. Other than that it was just an all right movie. Nothing really special.

reply

The gore is what makes the film.....This is obviously a film for gore hounds, I'm not sure what you were expecting to be honest lol.

reply

How did you watch it?

reply

I downloaded it via torrent because I am a terrible person.

reply

That’s what I was planning on doing lol... But I can’t find it.

This is a huge improvement from All Hallow's Eve in terms of acting, production value and special effects.

Watched it on Friday. Loved it!

Art for me is easily scarier than Pennywise but was a bit dissapointed that he was too human in this. In All Hallow's Eve he felt kind of supernatural.

Maybe this is a prequel though and that's what the end was about?

Ps. Haven't seen the short if that ties it all together.

reply

Don't quote me because I haven't seen anything released prior to the feature films, but I think Art started as a series of two shorts, the first of which was 9th CIRCLE and the second, the original TERRIFIER, which I think makes it the prequel to ALL HALLOW'S EVE. Whether or not the full film TERRIFIER was based on the short, I have no idea.

reply

Any idea where I can watch 9th Circle? I saw the short film "Terrifier" and it was quite good....Now I really wanna see 9th Circle but can't find it anywhere.

I couldn't agree more with the OP. I am a fan of gory horror films. I was once a fan of the cheesy '80s slasher flicks too, but the effects were never convincing enough for me. Terrifier brings it full circle. It's a great throwback to the cheesy slasher with some kick ass practical effects and no CGI. I hope to see more, as long as they don't dumb it down like most sequels.

His name is Art!
