Did Anyone Else Notice the Swastika Nightstand?

Not suggesting any nefarious intent, but Billie has a swastika nightstand next to her bed. Look closely in the first scene of Episoe 1. When Billy wakes up and reaches over for his glasses, it is clear that the nightstand (which has, I believe, a lamp on it) is decorated with a swastika. I suspect it is meant to be the Buddhist symbol and that no anti-semitism was intended, but it was a very odd choice for a prop.

It's a windmill.

I just rewatched it to check - that ain't no windmill.

The original meaning of the Swastika was to be a symbol of good luck and purity for 100s of years before the 1930s when a mad man misused it. Unless its a a swastika like the way it was in its nazi representation I really don't think Billie is some sort of neo-nazi

reply

It's probably a hindu symbol dude. You need to pay more attention to other cultures.

reply

Could be an American Indian symbol.*

*Native American, if you're politically correct.

reply

It is, the Nazis didn't invent it. It's a ward against evil spirits.
