Required prior viewing?

I'd suggest you watch as many of the original series as possible, preferably the later seasons, and maybe the movies w/ Yami Yugi & stuff

You don't need to see the spinoffs, GX and 5D are set after this movie, then after 5D the further spinoffs kinda diverge into their own thing anyway. Watch the Duel Monsters anime (including Capsule Monsters), the Pyramid of Light and Bonds Beyond Time movies aren't required but they're set between Battle City Finals and Waking the Dragons if you wanna watch them in order with the series. The Dark Side of Dimensions is set between the end of Duel Monsters and GX.

Superman & The [Red-Blue] Blur = The Man of Steel

I haven't seen anything but the original series and I thought it was great. There were enough flashbacks and exposition that even a newbie could get this movie.

Do they directly reference the final season and if so which arcs/episodes? I don't think I'll have time to finish watching before the screening tomorrow.
