Viv the decoy

When Jimmy said 'Viv was the decoy, there were others on the flight' did he mean they deliberately tipped customs off about Viv so she would get arrested, taking the emphasis from other couriers?
Very good 2nd episode. Hope they maintain the standard.

That's what I thought too. I'd like to see more about it and what happens but I reckon we won't here anymore if each episode focus's on someone else.

I was wondering if any Spanish-speakers could tell us what the customs people were saying to each other about why they suspected Viv in the first place.

Also, how often do they arrest people on out-going flights? After seeing Maria, Full of Grace, I guess I presumed the big hurdle was getting through customs on the arrival side.

It's very common for drug smuggling gangs to have several couriers travelling on the same day/flight and one of them is being used (unknowingly) as a "mule". The smugglers tip off Customs officials about the "mule", so that their other couriers carrying much larger quantities slip through the checks.

Check out some of the "Banged Up Abroad" UK episodes on youtube and you'll see how often it happens.
