A 78 min movie????

How bad was the original cut that they couldnt find at least 10 more min to add to the movie?? It's actually 74 min without the ending credits

it runs in real time. It doesn't feel that short. Its a fantastic film well worth a watch with the lead in an incredible performance

Well, not really - it must take place over about eleven or twelve hours. Sage gets to Elle's house around 9am, they get to the clinic for her termination at 6pm (15 minutes late), it takes about 20 minutes...

I really MUST get out more.

Are you kidding me. This movie is perfect. As is. No filler. No between second & third act non-sense. Perfect ending.

When Elle chuckles in the last minute of film, you know she s on to something new. She learned absolutely nothing except life is fantastic, flawed, and goes on!!!

Done. Tomlin is a genius artist

I had wanted to see this movie so bad, but had originally questioned the short runtime as well. I just finished it and it was great! So funny, serious, and touching. The runtime was actually perfect - it didn't feel like it was that short. They packed so much into this movie that I was actually surprised it really was only 78 minutes because it felt longer.

It did indeed feel longer. It would have been better as a short film.

Oh, thank goodness for people like you and DWhitney89! So many whingers and whiners (and right-wing throwbacks) on this board intent on knocking this gentle film about a powerful but abrasive character. Funny, charming, moving, warm and a great showcase for some terrific talent.

It implies a slight story.

It's that man again!!
