Redeming Qualities

What redeeming qualities do each character have left:

Chuck: NONE. Whatever moral and ethical compass he had at the start is long gone. Not only will he violate laws for his gain, but violates his own family and friends. And has zero respect for authority, seeing as he gave up a sure shot at being governor and got fired as US Attorney basically because he didn't want to have a boss.

Wendy: She's still great at motivating people to perform at their best, but we've also seen her use that for her own gain. If McAfee had played his cards right, he totally could have banged her in exchange for keeping her out of jail.

Axe: I think he does try to operate more within the laws than he did in the past, and does a better job of watching the people working for him.

Wags: His loyalty and consul to Axe.

Taylor: Still has a sense of doing business the right way, but it will be interesting to see what they do the first time they can't deliver the returns they have promised Gregor.

Connerty: His sense of right and wrong and justice thru ethical means is still firmly intact, and his willingness to stop Chuck's corruption. But Chuck was the same way at the start, so it will be interesting to see how it affects Connerty, and how he will handle it the first time Jock tells him which cases are important.

Stacker: Part of me wants to give her credit, for recognizing that Chuck had to be stopped. But then I wonder if she only did it for her own gain. Either she saw that the whole plan would fail and she didn't want to be on the wrong side when it came down. Or she's counting on Connerty and Jock not getting along, and Connerty either quitting or being fired, thus opening up the job for her.

Nicely done, Sandman; but do you think it’s possible that McAfee didn’t play his cards right with Wendy (my favorite character) because he didn’t want to play any cards at all, out of respect for her and for himself?

reply

That's very possible, which would be a redeeming quality for McAfee that despite being completely under Wendy's spell, he still had a limit as to how far he would go. But its a more a knock of her, that she would have gone as far as necessary to get what she needed from him.

I agree that it’s a knock for Wendy. I simply like to remind the world that there are still some quality gentleman in it. I think it’s a reminder that gives hope to both genders of our species.

Over some sex? This is a show about adults, not teenagers.

His name's "Mafee". I had to look that up after wondering who the fuck was this McAfee.

I was disappointed with the turn Wendy took last season. She had previously appeared to be the moral compass of the show. Now, not so much.

reply

Same. She's become really annoying now. They all have. Add a psycho killer with a to-do list of hedge funders please!
