What was with that series opening scene?

So, went to watch this show but with a series opener like that, is it worth it? My husband sure doesn't think so. I still want to give it a try. Is there more of that kinky bondage stuff throughout the series? My husband has completely dismissed the series based on the opening 30 seconds.

There's a bit more of the kinky stuff, but not every show. Hey, it's NY, with weirdos and all. My wife and I got hooked on Billions, not the bits about kinky stuff. Just the intrigue of the story. Stick with it.
