Just an observation: This show strikes me as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in a high school. Not that it's a bad thing, necessarily...

Well pretty much any episodic comedy is like Always Sunny but the setting is different. They set the standard. You could argue Arrested Development is the true owner of the episodic sitcom, but Sunny is more satire than AD, whereas AD is more absurd than Sunny.

I don't really get the connection. The characters in It's Always Sunny are sociopathic low-lifes (which is one of the reasons why it's so awesome).

I see a trio of men and a woman like It's Always Sunny. Of the 3 main men, 2 are yappy and kind of spastic like Charlie . There's a Parks and Rec bureaucratic workplace comedy going on with a Jean-Ralphio-type recurring side character teacher added to the 4.
