One thing that would’ve made this movie even better

...to me, is if they didn’t show anything having to do with the witch on screen until the last scene. Take out the scene with the baby ritual, the boy being lured to the hut, and the scene where she appears in the barn towards the end.

Elimante any physical presence of the witch to add an element of paranoia on whether or not the witch is actually real or the family are just superstitious. They we’re kind of heading in that direction, with a few scenes of the family members pointing fingers at each other. I think this was affective, but I think it would’ve even been more suspenseful if the audience wasn’t sure if there actually even was a witch at all, if the family was just off their marbles.

I can see how some may disagree. I just think that this could’ve made the movie even more intense because situations like this actually did happen in early colonial history, where families and communities were at odds with eachother due to rumors of witchcraft and satanism.

That's why it's called "A New England Folktale". It's the story others told about them.

"Take out the scene with the baby ritual, the boy being lured to the hut, and the scene where she appears in the barn towards the end" no, no and no!!!@?!"?!? the baby ritual was the creepest part of this movie and really gave me the goosebumps some of the scariest things i seen in a movie in years. the boy being lured to the hut was one of my favorite scenes because of the actress playing the part was super hot and had an amazing boobs, this was probably my favorite part of the movie and brang me the most joy and also the most memorable part. i felt bad for the boy getting killed by witch but her boobs were so nice and i liked them a lot they made the movie for me. and the barn scene at the end was also super creepy and badass. all the parts you wanted to remove were awesome and probably the best parts of the movie
