1989 movie Warlock comes to mind

Both movies are primarly set in England, and then move to America. There is a lot of Old English dialogue, like "nay", "thee", and other words. In both movies, a male, unbaptised child is murdered by a witch (or a Warlock, which is an evil, male witch), and the fat of his skin is boiled and used as a potion to aid in flying. Perhaps the filmmakers were influenced heavily from that 1989 movie?
