Director's cut with NO Kayoko Ann Patterson

So apparently Satomi Ishihara (who played Kayoko Ann Patterson) was just shoved in there by producers to provide eye-candy for teen fanboys and speak some Engrish to appease American audiences. She added absolutely nothing to an otherwise PERFECT Godzilla film. If the director's cut edited out all her scenes, we wouldn't miss a single thing, and the movie would be all the more better (and realistic; who looks like that?).

"She added absolutely nothing to an otherwise PERFECT Godzilla film."

That isn't really true, though. She did cooperate with Japanese authorities in sharing sensitive information the American government had about Goro Maki and Godzilla, plus she used her political connections to help buy some time for Yaguchi and co to finish their plan.

Who were you talking to?

reply

My bad if I replied to you man. I meant the OP.

Hate it when that happens.

reply

I'm not alone. Every single online discussion about this movie has razzed her performance and character. Even newspaper critics have said so. It's just fan-boy service and mars the overall film.

Could you provide a source?

reply

So I have to do your homework for you? Just enter Satomi Ishihara in Google News, or search a Reddit discussion.

Just provide a source - it's not that difficult. And I mean a news source, not Reddit.

In discussion, if you make a claim then the responsibility is on you to support it, not for others to verify your claim for you.

"It's just fan-boy service"

Only if you ignore details.

It would be nice if you provided actual evidence of this "Producers forced the character for reasons" you're just throwing out there. Otherwise it's just nonsense you're making up.

There. It's on the Internet. Thus it's official

reply

You know what would be even better!? If Godzilla was actaully in the director's cut!

reply

"If Godzilla was actaully in the director's cut!"

Godzilla was in the movie.
