Nice!

What are the chances that we see Shin nominated for "Best Foreign Language Film" for the American academy awards?

Not sure. I don't think it's likely, but it would be cool if it was.

reply

Not likely at all.

reply

No chance at all.

LOLOLOLOL the movie getting nominated is from favoritism and sentimentality, you realize this right? The movie is garbage. This is just the Japanese nominating Godzilla because it's Godzilla, nothing more. I can't believe someone even thought to ask if it would be nominated elsewhere.

He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

And you know this how?

"The movie is garbage"

Not at all.

"This is just the Japanese nominating Godzilla because it's Godzilla, nothing more."

Please. Don't embarrass yourself, kid. The number of Godzilla movies that had gotten any sort of recognition at the Academy Awards is miniscule, especially considering the number of movies he has.

"I can't believe someone even thought to ask if it would be nominated elsewhere."

Why? It's not like it had a huge release. Having "Shin" nominated outside of Japan would be incredibly unlikely, especially with it being a low budget film.

You're exactly the reason why IMDb is shutting these boards down.

Heaven forbid I humour the idea that it had a chance at a nomination due to it being critically well-recieved (especially in it's domestic market), and all those domestic award nominations.

I must be such an idiot for suggesting it had a minuscule chance at a nomination on the imdb boards.

As aforementioned, you're worthless response is why you're not going to have a place to do such a thing in a week and a halfs time.
