The movie is 85% boardroom meetings...I'm not joking!

This movie was a yawn fest...it was nothing but boardroom meetings.
..and then the how put staws into his mouth was redickless. What happens if he turn away when he fell and there be no roads leading to his mouth. I was so mad it was a terrible movie. I know more Godzilla back history then you.

I would give a proper response if I could understand word salads.

...What?

"I was so mad it was a terrible movie."

It wasn't a terrible movie at all. If you went in expecting an all-out brawlfest, you're bound to be disappointed, as it's not that at all.

"I know more Godzilla back history then you."

Doubtful.

reply

I disagree there. Even for a slow moving film. Its sucks.

Of course you do so which of the Godzilla back histories do you know more about than me or any other of the Gojira fans out there?

To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock

Well, on one hand, I agree, there were a lot of boardroom meetings...
And especially in the beginning it was kinda funny. A meeting in one room -> "let's go to the council-room". In the next scene, the people are in the council-room -> "let's go to the PM's office"... It may seem a little bit too theoretical/political, but it also helps to show people's emotions, and helps understanding their decisions ("There is no precedence.")
But on the other hand...
Have you ever seen the original one? Or even the last US-version? You only see a couple of shots with the "Big G", and most of them aren't even that impressive (in relation to other Godzilla-movies).

About the "I know more Godzilla back history then you"...
I own them all (well, except for "All Monsters Attack") on DVD, and I`ve seen them since they first aired during the early 90s on TV. I'`ve watched various documentaries, searched throughout the Internet for various topics (not just "reading an article on godzilla.wikia.com", but actually looking further. Researching stuff, which are barely mentioned. Therefore, I doubt, that you know more than me. ;p

Agreed the us 2014 godzilla looked like it was going for a slow reveal of godzilla the way most people would have seen him. But to the audience it came across as the writers were teasing us by severly restricting our view of Godzilla. Thos cutaways that would happen when godzilla first appeard were insulting. The cutaways felt forced and contrived.

Closer to 40%. And the topic in the meetings was always about godzilla.
