The saddest thing about this

She only ever wanted to do right by her son and make a better life for them than she had. She wasn't a mother who didn't care. She tried her hardest for that child and life literally kept knocking her from every angle. She was desperate to get her child back and when it comes to thinking of your child who you might lose you wont think too clear either. I find it heartbreaking that this evil man came into her life and destroyed it on such an important day. He stole her life and her sons life from her. She missed out on so much and the horrible thing is that she had no choice in it. I cannot imagine what she thought or felt it tears my heart apart. Knowing that your baby, your whole world is growing up and you aren't there. I am a mother of a three year old boy and just the thought brings me to tears. She said it was him who kept her going all the time. I find it horrendous that no one bothered looking for her regardless of her past the thought is just one I cannot comprehend. The only thing that bugs me about the whole sorry story is the child. Why did no one think well she is looking for a job getting her life in order doing everything to get her son why would she just up and leave the. It makes no sense. Yea her family was far from ideal but come on man go look for your daughter she has a young son she was fighting for did no one think about this it makes me intensely angry. I can watch everything in the movie but not the parts with her son it is horribly sad. I would never have given up until I found her alive or dead and kept her son so she had something to come back to and gotten the happy ending they both deserved. Why do you think she survived so long and persevered I know it was for her son. Yes he was adopted and he had a nice life but she could have done that as well and yea she says she will not turn his life upside down now but she would not give up if the adoptive parents were saying she cant have contact. Why can't she? She never left him she never wanted or asked for this she has every right to see her son he was her anchor. Life just keeps dealing her so much and I commend and respect her beyond a doubt.

I teach in an area where the many of the people who shouldn't have children, have children. and the less they are able to take care of the children, the more children they have.

I just had a problem with the 4 year old of her thinking. who gets into a complete stranger's car for a ride to their SOCIAL WORKER??? what adult even says that to another adult who is not a close friend/ family member????

Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.

Maybe an adult whos had a terrible upbringing, has already been raped, homeless and is a little immature ? Its no wonder she wasnt the greatest parent with her childhood
